AmSty Facility Partners with School for Earth Day

At the Americas Styrenics plant in Cartagena, Colombia, 22 employees worked with children at a local school, Colegio Tecnico de Pasacaballos, to plant mango trees in honor of Earth Day on April 25, 2012.  The school is located approximately one mile from the Cartagena plant.  Martin Villamizar, a Process Operator in Cartagena with a background in agricultural science, prepared a presentation for 150 middle school students about energy and water conservation and recycling.  This year's Earth Day partnership with Colegio Tecnico de Pasacaballos is just one example of how committed Americas Styrenics employees are to brightening the futures of children in the communities where we live and work.
